1. Who is responsible for your data

Clear Hearing, the operator of clear-hearing.com, is the controller of the personal information described here.

Contact: help@clear-hearing.com.

2. What we collect

  • Contact and delivery details — name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number where you give one
  • Order information — what you bought, when, the order reference, and returns or refunds
  • Payment confirmation — the method used, the last digits of the card and whether payment succeeded
  • Messages you send us, so we can answer and keep a record of your case
  • Technical data from your visit — browser, device, IP address, approximate location, pages viewed and how you reached us

We never see or store your full card number. Payment is handled entirely by our payment provider.

Sensitive information. We do not ask you for health, medical or other sensitive information, and you never need to give any to buy from us. If you choose to include it in a message, we use it only to answer you, we never use it for advertising, and where the law treats it as a special category of data we rely on your explicit consent, given by choosing to send it.

3. Why we use it, and on what basis

  • To deliver your order — processing payment, shipping, tracking, returns and warranty (performance of a contract)
  • To support you — answering questions and handling claims (contract and legitimate interest)
  • To keep records required for tax, accounting and consumer law (legal obligation)
  • To prevent fraud and keep the store secure (legitimate interest)
  • To send marketing where you have consented or where the law allows it for existing customers — you can unsubscribe from any email with one click, at any time
  • To measure and improve the store, and to show relevant advertising, where you have accepted this (consent)

4. Who else sees it

  • Shopify, which hosts this store and processes orders on our behalf
  • Our payment provider, which processes the transaction and screens it for fraud
  • Carriers and fulfilment partners, which receive the name, address and contact details needed to deliver your parcel and clear customs
  • Email, analytics and advertising providers, strictly to run the service and, where you have consented, to measure and advertise

We do not sell your personal information for money.

5. Advertising and your opt-out

We use advertising platforms that may set cookies or similar identifiers to measure our ads and to show you relevant ones. In some places, the law treats this as "selling" or "sharing" personal information for targeted advertising.

You can opt out at any time through the "Your Privacy Choices" link on this site, or by emailing us with the subject Privacy request. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as an opt-out for that browser.

We do not use any sensitive information you may share with us to target advertising.

6. International transfers

Our providers process data in more than one country. Whenever personal information crosses a border, we protect it with recognised international transfer safeguards, so it keeps the same level of protection wherever it is processed.

7. How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for as long as tax, accounting and consumer-law limitation periods require. Support messages are kept while your case is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe. Technical and advertising data is kept for a short period and then deleted or aggregated.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may ask us to give you a copy of your data, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how we use it, or send it to another provider. You may opt out of marketing and of the sale or sharing of your information. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

Email help@clear-hearing.com with the subject Privacy request. We respond within the period your local law allows — typically 30 to 45 days. We may need to verify your identity first. We do not charge for this and we will not treat you differently for asking. You may use an authorised agent, with proof of authorisation.

If we get it wrong, you may complain to the data protection authority or consumer regulator of your country. These rights apply to every customer, wherever you live.

9. Children

This store is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Cookies

We use cookies that are necessary to make the store work — your basket, your session and security — and, where you consent, cookies that help us measure traffic and advertise. You can block or delete cookies in your browser; parts of the store may then stop working.

11. Security

The store runs over an encrypted connection and access to order data is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send sensitive information such as card numbers or medical records by email.

12. Changes

We may update this policy and will post the revised version on this page with a new date. Where a change is significant, we will tell you.
